Walker Valley geode site information

The access road to the popular Walker Valley geode locality is now gated. This has been done primarily to keep the “kegger” parties off the DNR land. Since the Washington State Mineral Council has a valid mineral lease for the geode locality, the site is still accessible for rockhounding activities.

To access the collecting area, simply park off the side of the road so as not to block traffic and walk around the gate. Be sure that have a valid Discover Pass prominently displayed or you may be ticketed.

If you are not a member of a local club, please join one. Many rock and mineral clubs have field trips to other interesting collecting sites.
